Show Report: Mentalism for the Milwaukee Brewers

A Custom Show at American Family Field

I’ve performed in the corporate space for a lot of high-performing teams. But on September 29th, 2026, I got to perform for the highest-performing baseball team of 2026! Booking Around the Postseason Schedule

I was contacted by Brewers management on September 9th. They wanted a dynamic, customized mentalism show that featured fun mindreading while incorporating the motivational messages that management had been communicating all year.

There was just one problem:

The post-season playing schedule wouldn’t allow for a show unless the team clinched a first-round bye (giving them a week off), and they wouldn’t know that until much later in the month.

Confirmation & Execution

Fortunately, the team won more games, and I got official confirmation on 9/23 (only one week before the show). I rescheduled my flights from my hotel room in Cleveland, Ohio that night.

My schedule was packed during those two weeks:

  • 9/22: Executive dinner in Cleveland
  • 9/24 – 9/25: Trade show in Chicago
  • 9/26: Corporate event in Los Angeles
  • 9/29: Milwaukee Brewers
  • 10/1 – 10/2: Trade show in Austin TX
  • 10/3: Private event in San Francisco
  • 10/6: Annual Meeting in Philadelphia

Due to my event schedule, I was traveling with a lot of equipment, so I flew direct to ORD to avoid layovers or lost luggage. Milwaukee was a 2-hour drive north, I got to my hotel at 11pm and crashed. The next afternoon it was off to the stadium.

Locker Room Performances Before Practice

I arrived at the field at 1:15pm and was greeted by the Manager of Team Operations. He introduced me to team management, scouts and other team staff. They have an amazing organization that eats, sleeps and breathes baseball!

They gave me a full tour of the facilities (wow!), and at 2pm, I headed to the locker rooms to meet the players. While I was there, I took the initiative to perform up-close for the players before their practice. It was a blast!

Here’s some performance clips from before practice. If you’re a fan of the Brewers, you’ll recognize some of these faces for sure!

Why Pre-Show Mentalism Matters

Why did I do pre-show entertainment in the locker rooms? Because pre-show mingling is a great way to get people excited for the main event. It’s a great conversation starter, and it can really set the tone for the night to come.

Professional athletes (and c-level executives) are smart, savvy audiences. They’ve seen it all. A few minutes of close-up mentalism can generate huge amounts of buzz before the show.

It’s not just entertainment. It’s your insurance that people will immediately pay attention at the start of the show.

Here I am bending a signed coin at my fingertips. It’s a lucky quarter for the postseason.

Team Practice & Set-up

As a special treat, I got to watch team practice from the dugout. I had a front-row seat to watch one of the best teams in baseball practice their moves. It was really special.

I left practice early to set up my show around 3:30pm. I did a sound check and made sure everything was set to go an hour before the team and staff were scheduled to arrive.

I’ve never entertained in a baseball stadium before. But I’ve designed my show to work in almost any type of environment, from ballroom stages to company meeting rooms. I adjusted a few things on the fly, and we were all set.

Showtime

This was a different kind of show. Team management asked me to deliver some motivational talking points. It was almost a hybrid of my stage show and my keynote.

I customized my scripting to touch on the topics their management has been talking about for years. I also created two custom routines:

Custom Baseball Card Routine

I was told that the team loves baseball cards, so I created a fun performance piece where everyone in the audience would get a selection of baseball cards, and we’d create an impossible moment of coincidence. We used over 500 baseball cards, and created a minor miracle!

Custom #BREWCREW Lottery Routine

I also customized my “Lottery” routine to feature their unofficial fan nickname: the Brew Crew! I’ve done custom versions of this routine for many companies over the years, and it’s always a hit.

Results

I’m confident in my show, but this was a lot of brand-new custom material, and I was performing for the best team in baseball. How would the players and staff react? Would they be enthusiastic or jaded?

I shouldn’t have been worried. The Brewers were one of the best audiences I’ve ever had. They were an intelligent, attentive audience who were invested in their teammates and the show. In many ways, it reminded me of my team performance for the LA Galaxy MLS team in 2025.

We shared a lot of laughs, and the show ended with a spontaneous standing ovation. Team management had some very nice compliments about the show. Considering the high standards they have, their words meant a lot to me.

It was an honor.

Final Thoughts

The Brewers don’t have the deep pockets of the Yankees or the Dodgers, and they’re frequently underestimated. But they don’t define themselves through other people’s expectations.

I can completely relate.

I don’t have the fancy staging and million-dollar budgets of the Las Vegas headliners. I have an ultra-small business and I don’t rely on fancy props. I rely on showmanship, psychology, and the power of the human mind.

A lot of people said the Brewers wouldn’t even make the playoffs this year. But now they’re in the World Series!!!

The truth is that people’s expectations don’t matter. We can create the impossible every single day. That was my message to the Brewers, and it’s my message to anyone reading this post.

I hope the Brewers win the World Series this year. I can honestly say that the team is filled with down-to-earth, hard-working athletes who have worked incredibly hard to get where they are. They were very kind and gracious, and I’m pulling for them!

Who knows… maybe that lucky quarter I made for the coaches will make a tiny difference…
