Its been a few weeks since I last posted. I’ve been performing at holiday parties all month, and I’ve still got a week to go before it slows down. Then I’m at the Magic Castle until the New Year.
Once I’m done my run at the Magic Castle, I’m going to launch an updated website (better navigation, more photos and video). I’m also going to end this blog. It’s been a lot of fun, but I just don’t have the time anymore.
Tomorrow I have a 45-minute close-up show at Lakeside Golf Club, and then more shows later this week. Although things are slower this December than last year, I really can’t complain.
And the holiday party madness continues…
Mo's Restaurant in Toluca Lake
My good friend, magician Lou Serrano, performs strolling magic at Mo’s Restaurant in Toluca Lake every Friday evening. He’s not feeling good today, so I’m doing him a favor and taking his spot tonight at Mo’s.
So, if you’re in the Burbank/Toluca Lake area, and you’d like to see my award-winning strolling magic in person, then please stop on by. I’ll be entertaining the guests from 7pm until 9pm… and the magic is on the house!

Tuxedos Required
Last night I performed at a black tie gala event in Riverside with a few of my magician friends. Matt Marcy is a great pal (and a great magician), and he hired us to entertain 550 people at an awards ceremony. Pictured above (L. to R.) are magicians Joe Skilton, Matt Marcy, Suzanne, and Jonathan Levit. We look good!!!
Jonathan is multi-talented (actor, web designer, photographer, etc.), and he’s got tons of charm. I was especially happy to work with Suzanne. She makes her living as a full-time magician in Minnesota, so it was nice to catch up. She was flying back home the next morning.
Sure… Riverside was a long drive, but I’m always happy to work with my friends! I think that shows in the picture.
Happy Halloween! No Halloween is complete without some magic, so here’s a video of me entertaining people with one of my favorite magic tricks with coins.
This trick took me MANY long hours to perfect, and even longer to learn how to play it to a paying audience. It’s now a staple of my close-up magic show.
I don’t know who recorded it (I didn’t even know there was a camera on me!), but it captures the vibe of my show pretty well. I wish they captured the grand finale… they couldn’t believe where those coins ended up!
